Lakeside Park Celebrates Receiving the VisitEngland ROSE Award 2026

We are delighted to announce that Lakeside Park has received a VisitEngland ROSE Award for 2026, recognising our commitment to excellent service and a warm welcome for every visitor. The award comes alongside our highest-ever VisitEngland assessment score of 97%, meaning we have maintained our 5-star Gold rating. We were also one of only nine accommodation providers across the East Midlands selected for this year’s ROSE Awards, presented at a special event at The Post Barn in Newbury, Berkshire, on Tuesday 8 September.

Our owners, Laura and Richard Bestwick, collected the award at the presentation alongside representatives from VisitEngland. Now in their tenth year, the ROSE Awards recognise accommodation providers that leave a strong impression on VisitEngland’s Quality Scheme assessors and visitors, with winners selected using assessor comments and feedback from both domestic and overseas guests.

Our Managing Director, Richard Bestwick, dedicated the award to the Lakeside Park team, saying: “Samantha and I have the vision, but truly it’s an army of great people who bring those visions to life and make it happen”.

He added: “Much as we glory in the VisitEngland 97% grading, it’s the missing 3% which gives us a sharp focus. Each year the management team starts our winter projects with the report to hand, it’s the small margins where we can improve which is the difference between average and excellent”.

What is the VisitEngland ROSE Award?

The ROSE Awards celebrate accommodation businesses across England that provide particularly strong visitor experiences. As part of the VisitEngland Quality Schemes, they recognise service excellence, innovation, and the people behind memorable stays, regardless of accommodation type or star rating. For us, receiving the award is a meaningful acknowledgement of the care our team puts into looking after guests and maintaining the park throughout the year.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said: “The VisitEngland ROSE Awards showcase the excellent accommodation available across England. They honour the people behind the businesses who go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service, innovative options for all tastes and budgets, and a great welcome for visitors.”

Our VisitEngland assessor, Tom Bloomer, described the Gold award as “extremely well deserved”, noting that continued investment has helped us improve and maintain quality standards throughout the park. The report also praised the Lakeside team, stating: “The team demonstrate a strong commitment and attention to detail. Their hard work and dedication ensure this tranquil park maintains excellent presentation, supported by high-quality facilities and a wide range of activities.”

Because the awards are based on both VisitEngland assessor feedback and online visitor reviews, the recognition reflects the standards seen during assessment as well as the experiences shared by guests who have stayed with us.

Recognition for the Lakeside Team

For our team, the VisitEngland ROSE Award is another opportunity to recognise the people who contribute to every part of the guest experience. Maintaining a holiday park involves work across many areas of the business, from grounds care and facilities to entertainment and guest support, and this award reflects the overall experience our visitors enjoy, rather than one individual part of the park.

Now that we have been named among the VisitEngland ROSE Award winners for 2026, we look forward to continuing to welcome touring and seasonal visitors to our Lincolnshire site. The award adds to our existing VisitEngland recognition and gives guests another reason to discover what we have to offer here at Lakeside.
